Binks 2100 Siphon Fed Spray Gun Cleaning Instructions – ICD High Performance Coatings + Chemistries
Basic cleaning instructions for a Binks 2100 siphon fed spray gun:
- Detach cup from spray gun
- Wipe the siphon tube clean
- Spray water through the spray gun and back flush through the siphon tube
- Repeat this process until water appears clean
- Pour any leftover material back into the bucket
- Thoroughly rinse out and clean the spray canister to eliminate any ability of cross contamination
- Disassemble spray gun
- Remove fluid adjustment screw
- Remove needle
- Remove air cap
- Place air cap in a cup of warm water
- Spray needle with isopropyl alcohol and wipe clean
- If available, use the cleaning kit brushes that come with the spray gun
- A soft bristle toothbrush can also work for cleaning
- Brush and clean the air cap
- If available, use the correct brush from the gun cleaning kit to run through the spray gun
- A small pipe cleaner sprayed with isopropyl alcohol will also work
- Assemble the spray gun back together
- Screw on the air cap
- Insert needle
- Screw in fluid adjustment screw
- Attach siphon cup
