Course Description:

This course will provide architects, specifiers, and façade consultants education about silicone-based spandrel glass coating technologies. Attendees will learn about the risks of thermal stress breakage due to ceramic frit’s weakening effects on heat-treated glass. Testing methodology and industry standards will also be addressed. Alternative coating solutions will be introduced as a strategy to reduce risk of thermally induced breakage in glass facades.
