AquaVue® is ICD’s interior-grade water-based siliconized acrylic glass coating, designed for architectural applications where a durable, customizable, and hygienic surface is essential. It delivers a hard, scratch-resistant, chemically resilient finish while maintaining excellent adhesion to glass—making it ideal for interior wall cladding, backsplashes, shower walls, marker boards, partition systems, and glass furniture. The system supports both roll-coating and spray application, and it is engineered for reliable processing in fabrication environments with straightforward mixing procedures and predictable cure behavior. AquaVue® can be ambient-cured or oven-cured depending on production needs, and it includes optional additives—such as the KV-630 performance additive—to modify application characteristics when required. What is AquaVue®?

Can I order samples of AquaVue®?

Yes — samples of AquaVue® can be ordered to assess suitability for specific projects. Samples can be provided on various substrate types including different kinds of monolithic glass. Ordering a sample is recommended to review the actual colour and finish before making a final decision. Contact ICD with any sample questions.

Who can purchase AquaVue®?

Anyone with adequate spray or roll-coat equipment is welcome to purchase AquaVue®. This includes, but isn’t limited to, glass fabricators, glaziers, and/or paint shops.

What’s the minimum purchase volume for each AquaVue® color?

The minimum purchase volume per color is 4 kg.

What are the colour options for AquaVue®?

AquaVue® supports an unlimited colour palette, including metallic options. The product is customizable to nearly any colour, supporting tight colour matching to ensure consistency in projects.

How is AquaVue® applied?

AquaVue® can be applied using either roll coating or spray methods — giving flexibility depending on fabrication setup.

Who can apply AquaVue®?

Any qualified glass fabricator or paint shop with suitable spray or roll-coating equipment can apply AquaVue®.

Does AquaVue® require an oven for curing?

No — AquaVue® can be cured ambiently without an oven. Oven cure is an option but not mandatory.

What types of glass can AquaVue® be used on?

AquaVue® can be applied to various types of glass including annealed, heat-strengthened, tempered, reflective, patterned, and high-performance glass.

Is AquaVue® environmentally friendly?

Yes — AquaVue® is formulated as a water-based product with low VOC content and is free from heavy metals and PFAS, making it a safer and more environmentally conscious choice.

How easy is AquaVue® clean-up?

Because it’s water-based, AquaVue® offers easy clean-up with warm water.
